CM Dhami extends New Year 2026 greetings to all residents of the state

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended his heartfelt New Year 2026 greetings to all the residents of the state. In his message issued on the eve of the New Year, the Chief Minister wished for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the people of the state.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand’s development journey so far has been full of achievements. The state’s development journey presents an inspiring saga of struggle, dedication, and progress. The concept of comprehensive and balanced development of Uttarakhand has been at the core of the statehood movement. To give concrete shape to this spirit, a remarkable initiative has been taken to write a new chapter of development with transparency, public participation, and a new work culture.

He said that along with efforts for the overall economic development of the state, the innovative and far-reaching efforts made in promising sectors such as conservation of nature and culture, tourism, agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry have given the state a distinct identity in the country. It is a result of our commitment to development that today other states of the country are also following Uttarakhand’s policies and programs.

The Chief Minister said that by imbibing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas” (Together with all, development for all, trust of all, and efforts of all), our government has given top priority to public service. Continuous efforts have been made to ensure that government schemes reach every citizen. Transparent administration, strict action against corruption, and quick decision-making have been the cornerstones of our government’s working style.

He said that through historical decisions such as the Uniform Civil Code, a strong land law, an anti-cheating law, and a law against religious conversion, justice, discipline, transparency, and social harmony have been strengthened in the state. With the trust and cooperation of the people, who are like deities, in the last four years, many welfare schemes have been effectively implemented to increase employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth, empower women economically and socially, increase farmers’ income, and for the welfare of the poor and underprivileged sections of society. New dimensions have also been established in the fields of health, education, employment, and infrastructure. The Chief Minister said that the government has not only succeeded in determining the direction and pace of planned and rapid development in line with public expectations, but has also achieved greater success than anticipated in the implementation of state-interest-related programs in many areas. The effective implementation of development schemes and innovations has been appreciated by NITI Aayog, as a result of which the state has secured the first position in the country in the Sustainable Development Index.

He said that the hosting of the National Games has given the state a new identity at the national level. The state has also made remarkable progress in the field of investment and industry. MOUs worth Rs. 3.56 lakh crore have been signed by domestic and foreign investors in the state, of which projects worth approximately Rs. 1 lakh crore have already been grounded. Initiatives have also been taken to promote local products and encourage the “Vocal for Local” campaign.
