Gairsain: The state government is celebrating the Uttarakhand Silver Jubilee Festival, marking the 25th anniversary of the formation of the state. Events began on November 1st and will continue until November 11th. On November 9th, the main event was held at the FRI in Dehradun, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended as the chief guest. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth over ₹8,000 crore. The following day, a program was held in the courtyard of the Vidhan Sabha building in Bhararisain, Gairsain, the state’s summer capital.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Uttarakhand Silver Jubilee program held at the Bhararisain Vidhan Sabha complex in Chamoli district. According to the program, CM Dhami first inspected the rally parade held in Bhararisain and then honored the state agitators. Following this, CM Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 60 projects worth crores of rupees.
During this time, CM Dhami also addressed the state agitators and the public present. He said, “On this historic occasion, I pay tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice while protecting the country and to all the immortal martyrs who gave their all for the state of Uttarakhand, and I salute the state agitators.”
He also paid tribute to former Prime Minister, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was in power during the state’s establishment, and under his leadership, he said that the state was given new direction and strength through a special industrial package. He said, “We, the people of Uttarakhand, are fortunate to have the presence of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday at the Silver Jubilee celebrations commemorating the completion of 25 years of our glorious state’s golden journey. The Prime Minister reiterated that this will be the decade of Uttarakhand. Our government is committed to making tireless efforts to translate his words into reality.” He said that over the past four years, the government has implemented more than 30 new policies in various sectors to increase employment and advance the state’s holistic approach and put it on the path of progress. As a result of these efforts, our state has overcome various challenges and emerged as a leading state in the country in many sectors.
