CM Dhami inaugurated the automatic light system of the clock tower of the capital Doon, also inaugurated 04 modern Hilans-cum-Kitchen outlets built for women self-help groups

Dehradun: The picture of the clock tower, called the ‘heart beat’ of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, has changed. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the beautification, grand transformation and automatic light system of the historic clock tower, considered the center point of Dehradun. Along with this, CM Dhami also inaugurated 4 state-of-the-art Hilans-cum-Kitchen outlets built for women self-help groups in the Ghantar area. At the same time, school bags and books were also distributed to all the children.

CM Dhami said this: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the clock tower is the identity of Dehradun. Its new and attractive look will not only attract tourists. But, it will also make the local citizens feel proud. With the automatic light system, this place will shine even at night and will also work to add a new color to the nightlife of the city.

CM Dhami said that this historical heritage has been reconstructed at a cost of about Rs 1.5 crore and given a grand and modern look. He is confident that the new look of this heritage will not only enhance the beauty of Dehradun. Rather, it will also be a center of attraction for the tourists coming to our winter capital.

Inauguration of Hilans Canteens: He said that Hilans canteens have also been inaugurated at four places in Dehradun. These canteens have been set up at Collectorate, Coronation Hospital, Guchhupani and ISBT. These canteens will not only provide affordable and quality food items to the common people. But, they will also empower the sisters of our self-help groups towards self-employment and self-reliance.

Steps being taken to prevent child begging: At the same time, during the program, CM Dhami said that a lot of efforts are also being made to prevent child begging in Dehradun. Through which the boys and girls will be taken out of the quagmire of begging and linked to the right to education. Under this program, an inter-departmental team has been formed with 3 rescue vehicles.

51 children rescued in the first phase: Home Guard, Child Helpline, Education Department, Labor Department, Police Department and many non-governmental organizations have also been included in this team. In the first phase, this team has rescued 51 children and put them in various schools. In the second phase, 31 children have been admitted to Government Primary School Parade Ground and Sadhuram Inter College.

Construction of Intensive Care Center in Sadhuram Inter College: CM Pushkar Dhami said that an Intensive Care Center is also being constructed in Sadhuram Inter College at a cost of more than Rs 1.5 crore for the rescued children. The government will continue this effort till every child starts going to school.
