Dehradun: The first International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference was inaugurated today in Uttarakhand. During this, along with CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and all the ministers of the government, migrants from various countries also reached the conference. The conference was inaugurated with a glimpse of Uttarakhandi folk culture. After this, the work being done in the state by various departments and investment opportunities were presented to the migrant Uttarakhandis through different sessions.
The Uttarakhand government is looking for all the investment opportunities in the state. For this, the Dhami government organized an investor summit in the state. In which MoUs worth more than one lakh crore were signed. CM Dhami said that so far MoUs worth 80 thousand crores have been implemented in these contracts. In this episode, now the Uttarakhand government is looking for those migrants in all the areas of the state for investment, who are living in different countries. Migrants from 70 such countries were present in the International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference.
To ensure the participation of migrants in the development of Uttarakhand, the Dhami government has earlier organized a conference of migrants from across the country. In which all the migrants were talked to about adopting the village of Uttarakhand. This time again, the Uttarakhandi migrants living abroad were talked to on the subject of development of their village and adopting them, in which the state government assured a lot of help in every way.
During the conference, in view of the investment in Uttarakhand, various sectors like tourism, hospitality wellness, MSME, skill development, education were talked about. While the migrant Uttarakhandis were also known about their areas of interest. During this, CM Dhami said that when he went on a foreign tour in 2023, he met many migrants living abroad. Only after this, the idea of taking cooperation in the development of Uttarakhand from such migrant people of Uttarakhand living abroad was thought of. The CM said that a migrant Uttarakhandi cell has been formed at the government level, which is constantly coordinating with the migrant people of Uttarakhand. He said that 30 people have expressed their desire to adopt a village in Uttarakhand.
The special thing is that while the government is talking to the migrant Uttarakhandis to attract them and complete homework has already been done for this, the migrants from abroad are also appreciating this effort of Uttarakhand. The migrant Uttarakhandis have also said that they will play their role in the development of Uttarakhand.
