CM Dhami inaugurated the Kanda Mahotsav, laid the foundation stone of development schemes worth about 85 crores for Bageshwar, said – such festivals preserve our heritage

Bageshwar: The three-day Kanda Mahotsav organized in Kanda tehsil of Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand has been inaugurated with great pomp. In fact, the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Kanda Mahotsav on Monday and inaugurated the fair. On this occasion, CM Dhami laid the foundation stone and inaugurated schemes worth Rs 8479.89 lakh. He also tasted Ramani’s Malta while inspecting the stalls. He also talked about building a drug de-addiction center in Bageshwar soon.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that other fairs including the Kanda Mahotsav play a very important role in taking the culture of our state forward. Such festivals are very important to reach the future generation. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also called for taking our culture forward. He said that such festivals help small artisans, artists and shopkeepers a lot. He said that the government is constantly working to increase livelihood and reduce migration. Due to the home stay scheme for local youth, lakhs of people are stepping forward in the field of employment today. He said that strict land laws will be brought in the state soon. The form of holy Devbhoomi will be taken forward strongly.

At the same time, on this occasion, CM Dhami talked about taking the development block forward in Kanda. Along with this, he said that along with the canteen building for the soldiers, multi-level parking, construction of Government Inter College building, sub-electric station will be constructed. He said that the survey work of Tanakpur Bageshwar railway line has been completed. Soon the budget will be given for this. Due to which people will get its benefit soon.
