CM Dhami inaugurated the Urban Development Conference in Kashipur, flagging off 14 new municipal vehicles.

Kashipur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the state-level Urban Development Conference held in a hotel auditorium in Kashipur on Tuesday as the chief guest. He inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp. The conference included mayors and chairpersons, municipal commissioners, and executive officers from all municipal bodies in the state. Mayor Deepak Bali welcomed Chief Minister Dhami. Several dignitaries, including State BJP President Mahendra Bhatt, State Spokesperson Gurvinder Singh Chandok, BJP District President Manoj Pal, and Sanyog Chawla, were present at the conference.

Mayor Deepak Bali, while addressing the gathering, said that Uttarakhand is celebrating its silver jubilee, marking 25 years since its establishment. This is a matter of pride for us. He stated that he was raising a demand on behalf of all municipal bodies, stating that the Electricity Department installs electricity on municipal land but does not make any payments to the bodies. In such a situation, the municipal body should pay two percent of the bills collected from the public.

MLA Trilok Singh Cheema said that municipal management is a huge responsibility. The purpose of this conference is to exchange experiences and guide future plans. Municipal service is not a position; it is a pledge of public service. Everyone should ensure to stay away from corruption. Welcome modern technologies. The development of cities is the development of the country. Enhance the pride of the country by making cities clean and safe.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that our glorious state is about to complete 25 years facing many challenges. The state has suffered losses due to repeated disasters. Many people have lost their loved ones. Municipal bodies are playing a vital role in shaping the condition and direction of cities. I hope that you will continue to advance the development of cities with the same dedication. At the time of the state’s formation, there were 63 local bodies and only the Dehradun Municipal Corporation. Today, there are 160 municipal bodies and 11 municipal corporations. Over these years, employment has been created along with the development of the state. Under the PM Awas Yojana, people’s dreams of permanent homes have been realized. Work is underway to give a new direction to Uttarakhand’s development. The people of the state are being provided with the benefits of various schemes. Silver Jubilee Parks are being constructed in every municipal body, with 57 parks already approved. Efforts are being made to provide modern infrastructure. Work is being done to promote the local economy and tourism in the state. Despite various challenges, our state has achieved many accomplishments in the past four years. The Chaiti Temple in Kashipur has been included in Manaskhand. Work is underway to reconstruct various ancient temples here. To promote employment in this region, an industrial park is being constructed at a cost of 1100 crore rupees and an aroma park at a cost of 100 crore rupees. Action has been taken against love jihad, land jihad, and illegal madrasas. Those who defame Sanatan Dharma will not be spared.
