Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday inaugurated the State Level Youth Festival 2024-25 organized at Parade Ground Dehradun. On this occasion, CM Dhami inaugurated a total of 6 schemes worth Rs 87 crore. He also inaugurated the state level Pitthu competition. Along with this, CM Dhami also inaugurated the National Games Uttarakhand Volunteer Portal for the National Games.
The Chief Minister said that this year the Youth Festival is being organized under the theme ‘Innovation in Science and Technology’. Our youth will be able to learn the latest technologies as well as develop themselves. The festival has a special focus on innovations like ‘sports science’, which will prove to be helpful for our players to achieve an excellent position in the medal tally in the upcoming National Games. He said that our state has got the opportunity to host the 38th National Games. Which is a matter of pride for all.
The Chief Minister said that many competitions are also being organized in the Yuva Mahotsav on our rich folk culture and various subjects. In which young talents have also got opportunities from the block level to participate, which will give special benefits to the talents of our rural areas. He said that the youth power of Devbhoomi is talented, capable and extremely hardworking. The youth of the state have proved their ability in every field.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has made a special sports policy to strengthen the sports infrastructure in the state. Cash prizes are being given to the players of the state for earning medals. Special players are also being honored with Devbhoomi “Uttarakhand Khel Ratna”. The state government is also giving Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Dronacharya Award to honor coaches and trainers. During this, CM Dhami inaugurated a 200-bed hostel at Sports College Raipur, multipurpose hall, upgradation of boxing hall, construction of multipurpose hall in Haridwar, construction of spectator gallery parking at Haridwar Stadium and roller skating ring under Parade Ground Sports Complex. He also inaugurated the state level Pitthu competition. Along with this, CM Dhami also launched the National Games Uttarakhand Volunteer Portal for the National Games. On this occasion, Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that the state government is ready for the National Games to be held in January next year. Like other programs, hosting the National Games will increase the respect of Uttarakhand. He said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has always kept the development of youth and women at the main center. He said that Youth Welfare will soon work on making a youth policy.
