Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Uttarayani Kautik Fair, organized by the Kumaon Cultural Upliftment Forum Khatima at the Seed Corporation premises, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that a Hill Development Building would be constructed, and he instructed the District Magistrate to identify land for this purpose. He said that this Uttarayani fair would be included in the calendar and would receive financial assistance, and at the request of the committee, he also announced the construction of a stage. The CM said, “I am happy that through events like the Uttarayani Kautik, our new generation is connecting with its roots.
When children dance to the tunes of traditional musical instruments, young people sing folk songs, and our mothers and sisters participate in this festival dressed in traditional attire, it strengthens my belief that our cultural heritage is in safe hands.” The Chief Minister said that his government has taken several important steps to strengthen health, education, drinking water, and infrastructure in Khatima.
