Ranikhet: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Balidan Smarak (Martyrs’ Memorial) at the Kumaon and Naga Regimental Centre (KRC) headquarters and paid tribute to the martyrs by laying a wreath. He interacted with the soldiers of the Indian Army, especially the Agniveer recruits, and boosted their morale.
He said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian Army has become more powerful, capable, and self-reliant. Our army is strongly defending the country’s borders by responding to enemy bullets with artillery fire. He also honored the Veer Naris (wives of martyrs).
Chief Minister Dhami, who is on a two-day visit here, had a cordial meeting with the army personnel and Agniveers at the KRC headquarters on Tuesday.
He said that the state government is working with complete commitment for the honor and welfare of ex-servicemen, their families, and the dependents of the martyrs.
Through various welfare schemes in the state, education, health, employment, pension, and financial assistance are being ensured so that the families of the brave soldiers receive respect, security, and support at every level.
The Chief Minister also visited the Kumaon Woolen Centre and met and honored the Veer Naris of the military families. The CM also visited the KRC museum and research center. KRC Commandant Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Yadav and other army officers were present during this time.
