CM Dhami issues deadline to PWD: All roads in Uttarakhand must be pothole-free by October 31

Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the Public Works Department to ensure all roads in the state are pothole-free by October 31. He said this should be implemented as a campaign and reviewed weekly. This year’s monsoon has also seen disasters in the state.

These disasters have severely damaged roads in almost every district, causing significant disruption to vehicular traffic. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Dhami held a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence. He stated that the monsoon season has ended in the state.

In this regard, all departments should expedite work on the ground. He directed the Public Works Department to prioritize the reconstruction and repair of damaged roads. All roads must be pothole-free by the stipulated time.

Any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. Special monitoring should be done in areas where road related complaints are being received repeatedly and special attention should be paid to the quality of work.

Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Dr Pankaj Pandey, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police AP Anshuman, Special Secretary Parag Madhukar Dhakate and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
