CM Dhami meets delegation of Retired Employees Coordination Committee, requests CM to resolve various demands of pensioners

Dehradun: A delegation of the Retired Employees Coordination Committee met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday and requested him to resolve the various demands of the state’s pensioners. The Chief Minister assured them that appropriate action would be taken with complete sensitivity on the demands presented by the committee.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is committed to protecting the interests and welfare of retired employees. He said that retired senior citizens are our heritage and every possible step will be taken for their betterment. The Chief Minister assured that an appropriate decision would be taken soon on the committee’s demand regarding granting notional increment to retired employees on June 30 and December 31, and instructed the Personnel Secretary to take action on the committee’s demands.

The delegation, led by the chief convener of the Retired Employees Coordination Committee, Suman Singh Waldia, presented demands including granting the benefit of notional increment to retired employees from January 2006, reduction in commutation deduction, pension increase on the lines of Himachal Pradesh, and demands related to the Golden Card. The delegation also included the committee’s convener secretary Naveen Naithani, Harish Chandra Nautiyal, R.P. Pant, etc.

The office bearers of the committee expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the sensitivity shown towards the demands of the retired employees and said that the initiative of dialogue at the government level is commendable. This has sent an encouraging message to all senior citizen pensioners in the state.
