Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is in Delhi these days. CM Dhami is meeting many central leaders in Delhi. Yesterday, while CM Dhami met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and discussed the ongoing projects in Uttarakhand, he also demanded to start some proposed schemes as soon as possible. Today, on 29 April, CM Dhami met Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu.
On this occasion, CM Dhami has discussed the expansion of Dehradun Pantnagar Airport along with promoting air connectivity in Uttarakhand. Along with this, CM Dhami urged Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to start air service to Delhi from the airstrips of Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi.
CM Dhami told Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu that the airstrips of Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi are also very important from a strategic point of view. Because both are border districts. These areas are also used by the army. In such a situation, their expansion is very important. CM Dhami has also asked to connect both these areas with Delhi.
Along with this, CM Dhami said that if border areas like Dharchula and Munsyari are connected with air services, then it will also benefit the people of the state and the tourists coming here. Chief Minister Dhami urged the Union Minister to expedite the work of expansion of Jolly Grant, the only airport in the capital Dehradun and Pantnagar, the largest airport in Kumaon.
He has said that work is going on at both these airports for a long time, in which it is very important to expedite it. During this meeting, Chief Minister Dhami has also apprised the Union Minister about the disasters coming in Uttarakhand. He has said that the more the air connectivity is strengthened in the state, the more the damage from the disaster can be reduced. Chief Minister Dhami also invited the Union Minister to come to the Char Dham Yatra.
