CM Dhami on Delhi tour, attended high-level meeting, met Union Ministers

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is on a Delhi tour these days. On Friday, August 22, CM Dhami made a courtesy call on Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Union Power and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Delhi. During the tour, CM Dhami also had an organization meeting with the state in-charge and co-in-charge of Uttarakhand BJP, including Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs of Uttarakhand.

Meeting Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, CM Dhami informed him about the recent disaster and heavy damage to roads and bridges due to heavy rains in various parts of the state including Dharali area of ​​​​Uttarkashi.

Chief Minister Dhami informed about the extensive damage to roads and bridges, especially in Dharali area, and requested central cooperation for their early repair and reconstruction. CM Dhami shared information about roads and bridges affected by heavy rains in other areas of the state and expressed the need for immediate assistance from the central government for these as well. On the request of CM Dhami, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari assured the Chief Minister of all possible help.

Meeting with Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar: During his Delhi tour, CM Dhami met Union Power and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and expressed gratitude for approving the DPR of Rs 547.83 crore related to undergrounding and automation of HT/LT power lines in Rishikesh under the RDSS scheme. On the same lines, the proposal of Rs 315 crore for Haridwar Kumbh area was also included in the RDSS scheme and requested for early approval.

Keeping in mind the upcoming Kumbh 2027 in Rishikesh, Haridwar and other pilgrimage areas, CM Dhami requested a support of Rs 100 crore from THDC’s CSR fund to make Rishikesh-Ganga, Haridwar-Ganga and Tanakpur Sharda Riverfront a world-class religious-cultural site, including issues related to infrastructure development and housing schemes.

Apart from this, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), the EWS category is not getting loans in the 15 thousand 281 residential units allotted to the AHP component in the state due to low CIBIL score and unorganized income, on this subject, the Center was requested to issue special guidelines to banks and institutions and to re-implement the previous 40:40:20 phased payment system in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

Attended the meeting: At the same time, CM Dhami attended the organization’s meeting held at his residence in New Delhi. BJP national general secretary and state in-charge Dushyant Gautam, national vice-president and state co-in-charge Rekha Verma, Rajya Sabha MP and Uttarakhand state president Mahendra Bhatt, Lok Sabha MP Ajay Tamta, Ajay Bhatt, Mala Rajlaxmi Shah and state organization general secretary Ajay Kumar were present in the meeting.
