Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami suddenly left for Delhi on Monday afternoon. However, it is not yet clear for what work Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has gone to Delhi. But as soon as he reached Delhi, he met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. During the meeting, there was a discussion between the two about the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail route. Along with this, CM Dhami also talked to the Railway Minister about other rail projects. Apart from this, CM Dhami has also made a big demand regarding the land of the old railway station of Rishikesh.
After the meeting between Dhami and the Railway Minister, it has been told that CM Dhami has requested the Railway Minister to approve the project by testing the feasibility of the tunnel based rail line project to connect Dehradun to Saharanpur via Mohand by railway, similar to the tunnel system being adopted in the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project. Along with this, CM Dhami has also made some demands regarding the rail project in Kumaon.
The CM said that there has been a talk with the Railway Minister about starting Vande Bharat train from Tanakpur in Champawat to New Delhi and increasing the frequency of train from Tanakpur to Dehradun. The good thing is that the Union Minister has shown a positive attitude to a great extent on this project. The Chief Minister also urged the Railway Minister to declare the Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail project as a national project and that the expenditure on this project should be fully borne by the Government of India.
Along with this, in this meeting, he also requested to direct the concerned to transfer all the rights of the land of the old railway station of Rishikesh to the state government. He said that this land will be used for the multipurpose work being done in the Rishikesh-Ganga Corridor and the development of the state. If the Center gives this gift for this, it will be better. The tourists coming here will benefit from this.
