Bageshwar. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the largest development package to date in Kapkot on Sunday, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for 42 projects worth ₹108 crore (₹11.8 billion) worth of projects. This includes 24 projects (₹62.15 crore) and 18 projects (₹45.95 crore).
The CM stated that the government believes in practical action rather than mere announcements. The government’s priority is to boost women, youth, farmers, tourism, and the local economy. Women received a DBT of ₹70 crore, copper and kiwi received global recognition, and 1.68 lakh women became Lakhpati Didi. Bageshwar’s copper craft is gaining international recognition. The district’s kiwi production is now exported to the country and abroad. Six thousand people have undergone reverse migration. Fisheries have recorded a production of ₹1.25 crore.
CM Dhami said that under the Manas Khand Yojana, the Baijnath, Baba Bagnath, and Kot Bhramari shrines are being historically beautified. He stated that the shrines are the identity of Devbhoomi, and therefore, their development will continue. Work on a 200-bed district hospital, a 50-bed critical care center, double-lane roads, connecting every village by motorable road, and connecting the district to the railway line is progressing rapidly. The railway survey has been completed, and the budget approval process is in the final stages.
The Chief Minister stated that strict anti-conversion laws are in place in the state. 10,000 acres of land have been freed from land jihad. More than 250 illegal madrasas have been closed. Following action against the counterfeiting mafia, more than 100 people are in jail. More than 200 officers and employees involved in corruption have been suspended and sent to jail.
He stated that strict action will continue to build a safe Uttarakhand.

MLA Suresh Gadiya stated that Kapkot is experiencing unprecedented development. He said that the Chief Minister has approved projects worth billions for Kapkot. Kapkot has seen the highest number of teacher appointments, the approval of a sub-district hospital, and record improvements in road, education, and health infrastructure.
