Dehradun: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said in the ‘New India’s talk with Uttarakhand’ conclave organized at a hotel on Subhash Road that in 2022, we have pledged before the god-like people of Uttarakhand that as soon as the new government is formed, we will start proceedings to bring Uniform Civil Code in the state. A committee was formed for this. After submitting the report of the committee, the bill was passed in the assembly and sent to the President. The President has also given approval for this. The Chief Minister said that the state has moved forward rapidly towards implementing the Uniform Civil Code, the real credit for this goes to the god-like people of Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that in winter, worship is done in Omkareshwar temple of Shri Kedarnath in Ukhimath, Badrinath in Pandukeshwar and Nursing temple in Jyotirmath, Kharsali of Yamunotri and Mukhwa of Gangotri. Along with starting winter pilgrimage to these places by the state government, the mythological sites around them are being developed. Under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, 16 temple areas are also being developed in the first phase.
The Chief Minister said that to increase investment in Uttarakhand, an investor summit was organized in the state last year. In which MoUs worth more than Rs 3.56 lakh crore were signed. Their grounding is also happening rapidly. More than 30 policies have been made to create an investment-friendly environment in the state. Many policies have been simplified. Permissions are being given under the single window system. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has entered the silver jubilee year of state establishment. Every possible effort is being made by the government to make the state one of the leading states of the country in every field. Planning of development schemes is being done in the state keeping in mind the needs of the next 25 years. Uttarakhand will make an important contribution in fulfilling the resolution of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to develop India by 2047.
