Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the “Uttarakhand Creators Meet-2025” as the chief guest in Dehradun. Numerous content creators, digital entrepreneurs, vloggers, and young influencers from various social media platforms participated in the event.

During the event, the Chief Minister interacted informally with several social media creators and answered their questions. He described this interaction with young content creators as a “confluence of youthful thinking and digital energy.”

The Chief Minister’s Perspective on Uttarakhand’s Role in a Developed India – a Great India

A young social media influencer asked a question about Uttarakhand’s role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Developed India – a Great India @ 2047.” Responding to this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the foundation of a developed India will be strengthened only when every block, every tehsil, every district, and every village in the country and state is empowered. He said that the Uttarakhand government is continuously working towards this end—whether it is infrastructure, tourism, women’s empowerment, education, health, or entrepreneurship—rapid progress is being made in all sectors.

Chief Minister’s Clear Stand on the Issue of Corruption

When asked by another creator about corruption, the Chief Minister stated that the state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He stated that action has been taken against more than 200 officials and employees so far. He stated that transparency, efficiency, and accountability are given top priority in the state and that “the fight against corruption will continue with full determination.”

Chief Minister Dhami stated that significant steps have been taken in many areas for the state’s overall progress. He stated that the target of doubling the state’s GSDP has been achieved. Heli connectivity is being expanded significantly, facilitating travel in the mountainous regions. Major efforts are being made to foster an industrial revolution and strengthen the investment climate in Uttarakhand. Investor confidence has been boosted through the Global Investors Summit and a series of roadshows. To date, MOUs worth over ₹3.56 lakh crore have been signed, and investments worth over ₹1 lakh crore have been grounded. Tourist arrivals in the state are setting new records every year, and the government’s efforts have yielded extremely positive results in winter travel.

Chief Minister’s Message on Women’s Empowerment

Responding to a question on the role of women in the state, the Chief Minister said that the women of Uttarakhand have set excellent examples for the entire country in the fields of self-employment, local products, handicrafts, self-help groups, and traditional skills. He said that the quality and purity of local products produced by the state’s women are so excellent that they surpass those of many multinational companies. The government is continuously working on new schemes to further strengthen women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Chief Minister’s Perspective on the State’s Social Media Policy

Responding to a question regarding the state’s upcoming social media policy, the Chief Minister stated that the Uttarakhand government’s new social media policy will be implemented by next year. He stated that this policy will focus on better dissemination of information on digital platforms, effective communication of government schemes, and providing more opportunities to the state’s youth and creators.

He stated that the government’s objective is to encourage the creator community and more effectively showcase the state’s culture, tourism, entrepreneurship, and achievements at the national and global levels through digital media.

Addressing the event, the Chief Minister stated that social media has become the most powerful medium for information, communication, and public participation. He said that today, information about any event reaches millions of people in a matter of seconds, and social media has provided a wide platform for the voice of the common citizen.

The Chief Minister also stated that in the digital age, social media is not just a medium of communication, but has become an influential platform that influences every aspect of society. He emphasized that the role of influencers is no longer limited to content creation; rather, they can play a significant role as social changemakers, bringing about social change.

He said that due to the power of social media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made digital platforms an integral part of governance. The Chief Minister stated that, inspired by the Prime Minister, the state government is also committed to building a digital Uttarakhand. Social media platforms are being used extensively to make governance more transparent and accountable.

The Chief Minister said that today, various departments, including the Chief Minister’s Office, are directly communicating with the public through social media. Previously, filing complaints required repeated visits to offices, but now, a single tweet or message has made immediate hearing and resolution possible. He added that social media has made it easier for people to hear and hear from people.
