CM Dhami Participates in a Seminar on the “My Scheme” Books

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a seminar on the “My Scheme” books prepared by the Program Implementation Department, Uttarakhand, at the IRDT Auditorium, Survey Chowk, on Wednesday. On this occasion, he also launched the “My Scheme” portal, Uttarakhand (myscheme.gov.in).

The Chief Minister stated that through the three editions of this important scheme guidebook: “My Scheme,” “My Scheme – State Government,” and “My Scheme – Central Government,” every citizen of the state can easily access complete information about all the central and state government schemes and avail their benefits. Our efforts are proving fruitful in achieving the purpose for which these books were published. He stated that the government’s objective is to ensure effective implementation of the schemes on the ground and timely delivery of their benefits to every eligible person in the state. These books provide beneficiaries with comprehensive information about the schemes, as well as information on the application process, required documents, and eligibility.

The Chief Minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established a new work culture in the country, prioritizing transparency, accountability, and people-centric policies. Today, benefits from public-facing schemes are directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through DBT. The state government is also working tirelessly to address public concerns with the mantra of simplification, resolution, redressal, and satisfaction. Arrangements have been made to ensure that funds from various pension schemes offered by the Social Welfare Department are transferred to the accounts of every eligible individual through DBT.

The Chief Minister stated that schemes designed with various sections in mind are being implemented effectively in the state. While efforts are underway to develop modern infrastructure in all key sectors, including education, health, roads, sports, drinking water, and air connectivity, initiatives like “Vocal for Local,” “Make in India,” and “Startup India” are also underway to realize the dream of a developed India and a developed Uttarakhand. The government is also implementing several important initiatives to promote the local economy and tourism in the state.

The Chief Minister stated that local livelihood opportunities are expanding through the “One District, Two Products” scheme. Through the “House of the Himalayas” brand, our traditional products are gaining widespread recognition nationally and internationally. Initiatives like the “State Millet Mission,” “Farm Machinery Bank,” “Apple Mission,” “New Tourism Policy,” “New Film Policy,” “Homestay,” “Wade in Uttarakhand,” and “Solar Self-Employment Scheme” are being implemented to strengthen the state’s local economy.

The Chief Minister appealed to everyone to ensure that mementos presented at various events should be made from locally produced products to promote the state’s local products and people’s livelihoods. Such small efforts will encourage our artisans, women, and handicraftsmen. He stated that whenever he attends events or meets dignitaries across the country, he presents only local products from Uttarakhand.

Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal said that this is a commendable effort to ensure that people benefit from government schemes. The unified portal will make it easier for eligible individuals to access all government schemes. This is a great example of the spirit of Antyodaya.

Program Implementation Secretary Deepak Kumar said that the Program Implementation Department’s primary objective is to ensure that schemes and services reach beneficiaries in a simple manner. Through the three versions of “Meri Yojana,” state and central government schemes are being made accessible to the public. A special focus has been placed on the eligibility and process for the schemes.
