Dehradun: Following the changes made by the Government of India to the GST slabs, the new GST slabs came into effect today, Monday, September 22nd. In this context, a GST Savings Festival was organized in Dehradun’s Premnagar Market. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the event. Public awareness was raised about the nationwide GST rate reduction and the direct benefits to the public. The CM also met with market traders and gathered feedback on the new GST slabs.
CM Dhami Participates in GST Savings Festival: The CM visited various establishments and collected feedback from shopkeepers. He urged traders to prioritize indigenous products. He also emphasized the need to prioritize local products to strengthen the Indian people and the Indian economy. He met with the public attending the event and informed them about the reduced Next Generation GST. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has reduced the GST slab on many essential products and services to provide relief to the general public, which will directly benefit the general public.
CM Dhami appealed to promote indigenous products: The CM urged the public to purchase more indigenous and local products. The CM said that promoting local products will encourage our cottage industries and local businesses. This will also strengthen the economy of the state and the country. CM Dhami said that –
Only when we prioritize our local products will our rural and urban entrepreneurs be empowered and the resolve for a self-reliant India will gain momentum. The CM said that everyone has to contribute to the development of society and the state by adopting local and indigenous products.

Citizens present at the event commented on the GST relief provided, saying that the reduction in tax rates on daily products has eased the burden on household budgets, providing relief to the common man.
