CM Dhami Participates in Uttarakhand CSR Dialogue Program

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Uttarakhand CSR Dialogue program at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday. On this occasion, he also virtually inaugurated a digital classroom at the primary school in Chief Minister’s Adarsh ​​Gram Sarkot. At the event, an MoU was signed with Axis Bank Group for the digitization of 24 schools in the state and with Toyota for conducting CSR in the areas of environmental protection, education, health, and community empowerment.

The Chief Minister said that today, under their “Social Responsibility Initiative,” prestigious corporate houses in the country are contributing to important areas such as quality education, health, sanitation, and environmental protection in Uttarakhand. Many organizations such as IIFCL, Mankind, Avana Foundation, Toyota, Nestlé, THDC, IRCTC, HDFC, and Britannia are conducting various social activities in the state.

The Chief Minister said that to promote investment in the state, the government organized the Global Investors Summit in 2023, under which investment proposals worth over ₹3.56 lakh crore were received. To date, investment proposals worth over ₹1 lakh crore have been implemented. Efforts have been made to provide a better environment for industries in the state by implementing over 30 policies, including the Industrial Policy, Logistics Policy, Startup Policy, and MSME Policy. To promote startups in the state, an incubation center has been established, along with a venture fund of ₹200 crore to provide funding to startups.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working to improve the quality of the education system in the state. Uttarakhand became the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy 2020. To ensure quality education, NCERT textbooks have been made mandatory in all government schools. For the first time in the state, job fairs were organized for 12th-grade vocational students, through which 146 students were selected in prestigious companies. Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to develop a “State Curriculum Framework” for basic education.

The Chief Minister said that the country’s strictest anti-cheating law has been implemented to curb the cheating mafia in the state. As a result, over 25,000 youth from the state have successfully secured government jobs in the last four and a half years. Since the implementation of this law, over 100 cheating mafias have been jailed. The Chief Minister said that some people are unhappy with the opportunities available to our youth in government jobs, so they are conspiring to leak papers in an organized manner to darken their future. Recently, an unsuccessful attempt was made to leak papers in the state and an attempt was made to spread chaos in its name. He said that the government will not rest until the cheating mafia is eradicated from the state.
