Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, on Monday, reached out to the protesting youth at the Parade Ground and agreed to a CBI investigation into the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s examination held last week.
On Monday afternoon, CM Dhami suddenly arrived among the protesting youth at the Parade Ground. After listening to the youth’s perspective, he said that he himself was unhappy with the fact that the youth were protesting in the heat during this festive season. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government’s sole resolve is to ensure a completely transparent examination process. He said that the government has worked in accordance with this resolve for the past four years.
Chief Minister Dhami made an emotional appeal to the youth, saying that he understands that the youth and students of Uttarakhand prepare for government jobs after their studies. Based on this, they have bright dreams for life. The Chief Minister said that he has personally witnessed such situations and experienced them while working among students and youth.
Addressing the youth, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the recent incident is being investigated by an SIT under the supervision of a retired High Court judge. The committee has begun work, but the youth are still demanding a CBI investigation, so the government will recommend a CBI inquiry in this matter. There will be no obstruction in this matter.
I have also come to the protest site
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that if he wanted, this conversation could have taken place in his office, but seeing the suffering of the youth, he has decided to personally come to the protest site, saying he is fully with the youth. The Chief Minister said that the government has conducted more than 25,000 government recruitments in a transparent manner in the last four years, and there have been no complaints. This complaint has been raised in only one case. Therefore, the government is fully committed to removing all doubts from the minds of the youth. CM Dhami said that last week, when the youth met him, he made it clear that the government wants the youth to have no distrust, doubt, or suspicion. That’s why they came directly to the Parade Ground without informing anyone.
Case charges will be withdrawn
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that if any cases were filed against the youth during the protest, they will be withdrawn. The Chief Minister said that in the developed India of the Amritkaal, Uttarakhand becomes the best state in the country, and the youth will play a crucial role in this.
