On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the book “Philosophy and Action of RSS for Hind Swaraj”, written by Catholic priest Father Anthony in the year 1951, not only gives information about the ideology, organizational structure and working method of the Sangh. But it has also worked to explain the basic soul of Hind Swaraj in an integrated manner. CM Dhami said that he is confident that this book will prove to be helpful in connecting our future generations with our ideological tradition and working style by giving them information about the initial struggles, sacrifice and penance of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The CM said that Father Anthony wrote this book at a time when many types of misconceptions and wrong beliefs were being spread in the society about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In that challenging period, Father Anthony wrote with fairness and honesty that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is not a communal organization, but an organization of disciplined and spiritual consciousness dedicated to nation building. He closely observed discipline, service, dedication and patriotism in the lives of the Sangh workers and made the world aware that this organization is the real foundation stone of the reconstruction of India.
The Chief Minister said that Father Anthony wrote that the Sangh is not only working towards re-establishing the lost prestige of Hinduism, but is also engaged in the work of ending the evil practices prevalent in the society and binding the entire India together. In its hundred years of journey, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has brought such a divine stream of cultural renaissance, social harmony, self-esteem and patriotic service in India. The CM said that when the first Sarsanghchalak Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in the year 1925, India was not only politically subjugated, but was also mentally, culturally and religiously fragmented. Today, through its hundred years of ascetic journey, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has brought such a divine stream of cultural renaissance, social harmony, self-esteem and patriotic service in India, which has lit the eternal flame of national consciousness in every corner of the country. India, which was once suffering from the mentality of slaves, today takes pride in its cultural values, its traditions and its scientific outlook, this self-esteem is the result of the penance of the Sangh.
The CM said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has entered the Amritkal period of renaissance of its cultural consciousness. CM Dhami said that our government has also recently started an important cultural and spiritual initiative by making the reading of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita compulsory in the government schools of the state. The state government has also taken the historic decision to implement the “Uniform Civil Code” law first in the country with the aim of establishing a uniform law for all citizens in the state. He said that our government is fully committed to preserving the cultural values and demography of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
On one hand, we have implemented anti-conversion and strict anti-riot laws in the state. At the same time, strict action has also been taken against Jihadi mindsets. Along with this, more than 200 illegal madrasas have been sealed and more than 500 illegal structures have also been removed. The government is also taking strict action against the elements conspiring to defame Sanatan Dharma. Action is being taken against hypocrites through “Operation Kalanemi”.
