CM Dhami releases teaser and poster of the documentary ‘The Great Himalayan Rescue’ Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday released the teaser and poster of the documentary ‘The Great Himalayan Rescue’ Uttarakhand, produced under the banner of Parivartan Pictures and directed by Rishabh Kohli and Prashant Upadhyay.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the documentary ‘The Great Himalayan Rescue’ vividly portrays collective effort and human compassion. He said that the Silkyara tunnel rescue operation has become an inspiring chapter in the history of Uttarakhand, where all agencies, the administration, and local people worked with unprecedented coordination. The Chief Minister said that through this documentary, people will see a glimpse of the technical expertise and the spirit of the state in this operation. He said that this film is a symbol of Uttarakhand’s spirit of ‘resolve and service’ and will give a message of patience and dedication to the younger generation in difficult circumstances. Director Rishabh Kohli said that the documentary is based on the Silkyara tunnel rescue operation, in which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself narrates the story of this historic rescue operation in detail. He said that the documentary not only showcases the technical challenges and human resilience but also presents a true picture of Uttarakhand’s roots, emotions, and leadership. The film was shot in Uttarakhand. He added that the documentary will be released soon on a major OTT platform.

Present on the occasion were Banshidhar Tiwari, CEO of the Uttarakhand Film Development Council, senior journalist Anupam Trivedi, Chairman of the Uttarakhand Waqf Board Shadab Shams, the film’s director, and Rishabh’s father and senior journalist Neeraj Kohli.
