Pauri Garhwal/Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday reviewed the development works at Garhwal Divisional Headquarters Pauri. Also, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 158 schemes worth Rs 133 crore, which includes inauguration of 137 schemes worth Rs 80 crore and laying the foundation stone of 21 schemes worth Rs 53 crore.
During the review, the Chief Minister directed the officials that the implementation of the schemes should be done on the basis of the principle of no pendency. He asked all the departments to prepare an action plan to maintain the old glory of Pauri. He said that hostels will be built in Pauri for the youth preparing for competitive examinations and army. Dhami directed that the work related to public interest should not be merely formal but it should also have a concrete outcome. He also directed to install solar panels and rain water harvesting system on the roof of all government buildings.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Pahari Fig (Bedu) processing unit built with the help of 21 lakhs near the Vikaskhand Office Pauri. Which is being operated by Umang Autonomous Cooperative, Pauri. He inspected the products being made from Beru in the unit and appreciated such a unique effort. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Rajkumar Pori, Mahant Dilip Rawat, Renu Bisht, Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Karan Singh Nagnyal, District Magistrate Pauri Ashish Chauhan and other public representatives and officials were present.
