CM Dhami security lapse case in Corbett, action taken on driver, report of 2 employees sent to the government

Ramnagar: A major negligence came to light during the visit of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to Corbett Park on July 6. On this day, the fitness of the Gypsy UK 19 GA 0067 in which the CM was inspecting Dhela, Jhirna and Fato zones was not renewed since the year 2020. After this lapse came to light, there was a stir in the park administration. Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal had given instructions to investigate the matter.

Corbett Park Director Dr. Saket Badola informed that the investigation of this matter was handed over to Deputy Director Rahul Mishra. The investigation revealed that the responsibility of the vehicle related documents was of driver Mohammad Umar and store keepers Irshad and Pankaj. Despite this, the fitness of the vehicle was not done for a long time. This is being considered a serious lapse in CM security.

Corbett Park Director Saket Badola said that later the vehicle was inspected by the Regional Transport Office ARTO. In which the gypsy was found technically fit. Despite this, ignoring the documents for years is a serious negligence. Due to this, departmental action has been taken against gypsy driver Mohammad Umar. The report has been sent to the government for action against storekeepers Irshad and Pankaj. The forest department is now reviewing the fitness of other vehicles in the park again so that such negligence does not occur in future. This case has underlined the need for administrative vigilance.
