CM Dhami visits Nanakmatta, participates in Birsa Munda Jayanti program, presents gift to the public

Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Nanakmatta on Saturday. On this occasion, CM Dhami participated in the Tribal Pride Day program organized on the occasion of Lord Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary. CM Dhami remembered Lord Birsa Munda on his 150th birth anniversary. He extended his best wishes to the tribal community on the occasion. On this occasion, CM Dhami inaugurated the newly constructed office building of the Nagar Panchayat and laid the foundation stone for the Nanakmatta College building, which will be constructed at a cost of crores of rupees. On this occasion, CM Dhami bowed his head at the Nanakmatta Gurudwara and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived in Nanakmatta on Saturday as per his scheduled program. He participated in the Janjati Gaurav Diwas celebrations organized to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. Earlier, CM Dhami bowed his head at the Nanakmatta Gurudwara and sought blessings. He also prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. CM Dhami laid the foundation stone of 967.98 lakh rupees for the construction of the building at Maharana Pratap Government College, Nanakmatta. The Nanakmatta Nagar Panchayat building was inaugurated.

CM Dhami inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp in front of a portrait of Lord Birsa Munda. Addressing the gathering, he paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda on his 150th birth anniversary. He also congratulated him on Tribal Pride Day. He said that Lord Birsa Munda worked to eradicate the evils prevalent in tribal society. Today, Lord Birsa Munda is being remembered across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate Lord Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary. Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary is being celebrated across the country today.

Many crores of rupees are being spent today for the upliftment of tribal communities. Today, our country’s first citizen and President, Her Excellency Draupadi Murmu, also comes from the tribal community. The government has selected 128 tribal villages. Schools are being established in Chakrata and Bajpur. 16 government schools are being operated. Free education is being provided to children from tribal communities. A grant of 50,000 rupees is being given for marriage. Lord Birsa Munda not only empowered and strengthened the society but also eradicated prevalent social evils. He promised to open a free coaching center in Nanakmatta, restart the portal for weighing farmers’ paddy, build a bridge over the Kailash River in Sadhu Nagar, and develop Nanak Sagar as a tourist destination. The bus station will be renamed Maharana Pratap.
