Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited various shops in Rajpur, Dehradun, on Tuesday as part of the “GST Savings Festival.” He also interacted with businessmen on the occasion. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the implementation of the new GST rates and described this historic decision as being in the public interest.
The Chief Minister stated that the Central Government has made extensive reforms in the GST slabs. The new rates will directly benefit millions of families and small businesses in the state.
The Chief Minister met with businessmen and shopkeepers to gather feedback and urged everyone to disseminate the benefits of the reduced GST to the general public. He also urged them to promote indigenous products and ensure participation in the Self-Reliant India campaign. The Chief Minister stated that this GST awareness campaign will be run in the state until September 29th, with participation from ministers, MLAs, and officials. He stated that information will be shared at various locations to ensure that more people understand and benefit from the new GST slabs.
During his visit to Rajpur Road, the Chief Minister stated that the implementation of the new GST rates before the festival season will increase people’s savings and give a new impetus to the state’s economy. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that this decision will prove to be historic and revolutionary for the benefit of the countrymen.
