Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has wished the people of the state on Hindi Day. In his message issued on this occasion, the Chief Minister has said that Hindi is a symbol of our cultural sentiments, aspirations and ideals. The language of any country is helpful in connecting it with its culture and traditions. Hindi is not just a language but also the identity of our civilization and culture. Hindi is also the basis of the unity and integrity of the country. It is also a continuous ritual that makes us aware of our traditions and our heritage.
He said that Hindi is not only a language but also the soul of our nation. Hindi has connected our society and enriched our civilization. Hindi has given us a special place on the world stage. Hindi is not only a medium of communication for us but is also a symbol of our identity, culture and Indianness. Hindi has tried to bind our diverse society into one thread. Hindi, full of simplicity, ease and power, has a wonderful capacity for coordination.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making important efforts to establish Hindi on the global platform. His use of Hindi in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program has given Hindi global recognition.
He said that today Hindi is being studied in various countries of the world. Hindi has also played an important role in bringing awareness in the society. From the freedom struggle till today, Hindi has also been a major medium of social consciousness. During the freedom struggle, Hindi became the language of struggle and played an important role in binding the countrymen together. The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working for the upliftment of Hindi.
The Chief Minister said that our ideological loyalty has been towards Hindi. It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain the pride of Hindi. Only when we all work together for the development of Hindi, will Hindi get the expected respect. Hindi is one of the most popular languages not only in India but in the world. Hindi as a language also acts as a bridge between the Indians. Hindi language also has the power to create harmony among the various languages of the country.
Appealing to all to cooperate for the pride and honour of the official language Hindi, the Chief Minister said that on Hindi Diwas we will have to take a pledge to use Hindi as much as possible in our daily lives.
