Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has wished the people of the state a happy new year. He said that this year the important initiatives taken by the government in the state will be seen coming to the ground. If the Uniform Civil Code and Land Law are implemented in the state, then the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will start.
National Games will be organized and the Chardham Yatra Development Authority will come into existence. Along with this, heli service will start for four district headquarters and in order to empower women, the CM Sarathi Yojana started for women drivers will also be started.
On the eve of New Year, Chief Minister Dhami said that many new dimensions have been established in the development journey of Uttarakhand so far. An attempt has been made to connect the odd geographical position of the state with the mainstream of development with better financial management and recognition of the specialty of a particular place.
In the new year, the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will be fully ready by May. After this, the journey from Dehradun to Delhi will be completed in two and a half to three hours. It is being constructed in four phases. Two sections of it have already been completed.
This year, Uniform Civil Code will also be implemented. For this, from making law to other formalities have been completed. With its implementation, Uttarakhand will show the path of social change to all the states of the country. In the new year, four district headquarters are going to be connected to Dehradun by helicopter service.
These include Pauri, Gopeshwar, Bageshwar and Nainital. Also, there is a plan to start fixed wing service for Gauchar and Chinyalisaur. Small 18 seater aircraft will provide service here. Land law will also come into force in the state this year. Complete preparations have been made for this.
In January this year, Uttarakhand will host the 38th National Games. Such a big event is being organized in the state for the first time. Through this, Uttarakhand will showcase its excellent sports infrastructure, sports talents and hospitality in front of all the states of the country. In the new year, women drivers in Uttarakhand will also be seen taking passengers to their destination on the lines of Ola and Uber.
For this, the state has started the Mahila Sarathi project. This scheme is being started from Dehradun as a pilot project. In this, driving licenses will be made along with training the needy women to drive. It is proposed to arrange vehicles for these women from CSR and Nirbhaya Fund. A mobile app will also be made for their booking.
He said that the government is taking steps towards forming the Chardham Yatra Development Authority. In this episode, by January 15, a meeting will be held with all the pilgrimage priests and stakeholders and their suggestions will be taken. This authority is expected to be formed by the end of this month.
Chief Minister Dhami said that for the last three years, the state government has been working with the resolve to take the benefits of government schemes to the last person. In this regard, 2025 will be the year of taking new resolutions and moving forward towards making Uttarakhand the best state in the country.
