Dehradun: Opposition parties have opened a front at the national level against the Agniveer scheme in the army. Leaders of opposition parties have also termed this scheme as a betrayal of the youth. Although from time to time the central government and the BJP organization have been presenting clarifications on Agniveer, but despite this, this issue remained in the election. Now in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also given a big statement regarding the Agniveer scheme. CM Dhami has made it clear that the Uttarakhand government is going to give special priority to the Agniveers after their return. The government will take steps to accommodate such youth in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that when the Agniveer scheme came, he had met the ex-servicemen and talked about it and also made it clear that such youth would be accommodated in various departments of the government. Although Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has already said that special attention will be given to the youth recruited in Agniveer in the year 2022 on their return, but now he has also made it clear that such youth will be kept in the police department as well as other departments in the state. Not only this, if the state government needs to implement reservation for this, then he will bring this proposal in the cabinet and get the reservation for Agniveer implemented.
Also, if there is a need to make an act for this, then an act will also be made by bringing it in the assembly. Uttarakhand is a military dominated state and the issue of Agniveer was heard a lot during the Lok Sabha elections in Uttarakhand and the Congress leaders also tried to capitalize on this subject. Although the Congress could not get the benefit of this, but due to the large number of people of Uttarakhand in the army, the matter of Agniveer often arises in the state. On which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has once again clarified the situation and has talked about implementing reservation or bringing an act for this.
