Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was on a visit to Bageshwar today. During this, CM Dhami did a field inspection of the disaster-affected areas. Also, CM Dhami met the disaster-affected families and communicated directly with them. CM Dhami assured all possible help to the disaster-affected.
On the Kapkot tour, CM Dhami gave strict instructions to the officials not to show any laxity in relief and rehabilitation work. CM Dhami laid special emphasis on ensuring quick relief and transparent rehabilitation to every affected. Earlier, CM Dhami also reached Dharali (Uttarkashi), Pauri, Chamoli, Champawat and other disaster-affected areas first and led the relief and rescue operations.
CM Dhami directed to complete the rehabilitation process in a transparent and timely manner. Along with this, he has given instructions to provide immediate assistance to the needy. CM Dhami said that our government is continuously working to serve the public with full sensitivity and commitment. CM Dhami said that the state government stands with every disaster affected citizen. He said that no shortage will be allowed in rehabilitation and reconstruction.

Let us tell you that in the past, disaster occurred in Bageshwar district due to heavy rains. According to the information received from the district administration, heavy debris came due to heavy rains in Pausari village located in Kapkot tehsil of Bageshwar district. 6 houses came under the grip of this debris. 2 people died after being buried under the debris. The deceased include Basanti Devi wife Ramesh Chandra Joshi and Bachuli Devi. 1 person Pawan son of Ramesh Chandra Joshi is injured. Three people are missing. The missing people include Ramesh Chandra Joshi, Girish and Puran Joshi. SDRF, NDRF, DDRF and Revenue teams were engaged in rescue work. After which now CM Dhami has reached the disaster affected area Kapkot. Let us tell you that this year so far 574 mm rainfall has been recorded in the state. This figure is the highest in comparison to the last several years. Due to excessive rain, not only life was affected but roads, bridges, buildings and other infrastructure have also suffered extensive damage. The state government is constantly engaged in helping the disaster affected people.
