CM Dhami’s strict action on Haridwar jail prisoner escape case – 6 suspended including jailor, CM said will not tolerate negligence

Haridwar: 6 personnel have been suspended on the incident of two prisoners escaping from District Jail Haridwar. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions for a detailed investigation of the incident. Deputy Inspector General Prison will investigate it and give the report to CM Dhami.

According to the information, prisoners Pankaj and Rajkumar escaped from jail after getting a chance. Pankaj is serving life imprisonment in a murder case. Rajkumar is an undertrial prisoner. There has been a stir in the police administration since the escape of both the prisoners. Since the incident, the police is engaged in searching for both the prisoners. Now an update has come in this matter. Action has been taken in the case of escape of prisoners. 6 personnel have been suspended in this case.

Action has been taken against 6 personnel Pyare Lal Arya, Superintendent in Charge/Jailer, Kunwar Pal Singh, Deputy Jailor Circle Jailor/Chakradhikari, Premshankar Yadav, Day Head Warder, Vijay Pal Singh, Head Warder-in Charge Girda Head, Ompal Singh, Badirakshak In Charge Construction Site, Nilesh Kumar, Head Warder In Charge Gatekeeper. These personnel have been suspended with immediate effect for negligence and indifference towards duty. Also, the Deputy Inspector General of Prisons has been directed to conduct a detailed investigation of the incident. Further action will be taken on the basis of facts found in the detailed investigation.
