Rudrapur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lauded the development efforts of the central and state governments. At the 47th death anniversary celebrations of freedom fighter Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla, the founder of the Terai, he briefed the public on the various development projects underway in the district. In his address, CM Dhami stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is experiencing all-round development. The decisions taken by the Uttarakhand government are setting an example for the country.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived in Rudrapur today. He was welcomed by BJP organization officials and public representatives. He then participated in the 47th death anniversary celebrations of Sumer Shukla, the founder of the Terai, held at Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla Medical College. Prior to this, he paid homage to the founder of the Terai, Ram Sumer Shukla, by garlanding his statue. Afterward, he unveiled a plaque. On this occasion, CM Dhami said that Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla played a significant role in settling people in the Terai region. He said that when there used to be forests here and wildlife was a menace, Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla had taken special initiatives.
He said that today, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state is experiencing all-round development. The decisions taken by the Uttarakhand government are setting an example for the country. He said that various development projects are also being implemented in Udham Singh Nagar district. A medical college is being established in Rudrapur to provide better healthcare facilities to the people. Furthermore, road construction is underway. People will soon be relieved of the waterlogging problem. He said that the construction of an AIIMS satellite center in Kichha is underway, and soon people will be able to access healthcare there as well.
He said that the government is working in every field. In the field of sports, structures are being constructed at several locations in the district, where not only national but also international sports events can be held. He further stated that the construction of the Jamrani Dam is also in progress. Once completed, it will provide irrigation water to many areas of Uttar Pradesh. He stated that the double-engine government has accomplished this task as well. He added that today, his government has increased the support price of sugarcane by 30 rupees per quintal.
During this visit, he also honored individuals who have done outstanding work in society. Speaking at the SIR, he said that the opposition has no issues. Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the country is moving forward. In every state where elections have been held, the people have chosen the double-engine government. The people of the country are not influenced by false slogans, but by those who work.
