Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday greeted fellow citizens of Uttarakhand before Holi. Extending good wishes to the people preparing for the festival of colours, CM Dhami described Holi as a festival of love, brotherhood and harmony. According to an official release, the Chief Minister said that Holi in Uttarakhand has a unique identity of its own as both young and old people celebrate the festival with utmost joy and paint each other in festive colours. The Chief Minister said Holi is not just a festival of colours, but also “a symbol of our rich cultural heritage”.

Wishing happiness in everyone’s life, CM Dhami also appealed to the people of the state to celebrate this festival with special enthusiasm and enthusiasm by spreading the message of brotherhood and harmony. Holi will be celebrated this year on Monday, March 25. This festival is celebrated with the same enthusiasm in the country as it is in foreign countries. This festival is preceded by a bonfire ritual called Holika Dahan, which symbolizes the burning of the demon Holika. Amidst the revelry, traditional sweets are shared, enhancing the feeling of harmony and togetherness among the people, as well as reflecting the feeling of happiness and love among the revelers.
