Common people will also get accommodation facility in Uttarakhand Niwas located in Delhi, Dhami government gave instructions to amend the government order

Dehradun: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed that the newly constructed Uttarakhand Niwas in New Delhi should be made available to the general public as well. Taking cognizance of the published news, the CM said that the government order issued for room reservation in Uttarakhand Niwas should be immediately amended and such arrangements should be made so that the common man of Uttarakhand can also get a room there on the basis of availability. The Chief Minister has also given instructions to re-determine the rates.

CM Dhami gave instructions to amend the government order issued on Wednesday. According to the government order, it was said that only leaders and top officials would be given accommodation facility in the new Uttarakhand Niwas built in Delhi. There will be no entry for the rest. The State Property Department had released the rate list and the list of people eligible for accommodation for this.

In Uttarakhand Niwas, only the Governor, Chief Minister, Assembly Speaker, Minister, Leader of Opposition, Chief Justice and Judge of High Court, MP, MLA, office bearer, former Chief Minister, Advocate General, State President of political parties having national or state level status, Chairman of various Constitutional Commissions, Mayor, Zilla Parishad Chairman, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police, Inspector General of Police, Chief Forest Conservator, Chief Forest Conservator, Chief Permanent Advocate of the State, 13-A grade level or higher salary officers were to be given accommodation facility.

Accommodation arrangements were not made here for everyone from Additional Secretaries to common man. Taking cognizance of which, CM Dhami immediately directed to amend it. Meetings of Uttarakhand Government or Government departments can be held here free of cost. Corporations or committees will have to pay Rs 15,000 per day per program for the meeting. Others will have to pay Rs 35,000 per program.
