Corruption attacked again in Uttarakhand, two officers arrested taking bribe, Dhami said – strict action will be taken against those involved in corruption

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, strict action will be taken against anyone who is involved in corruption. Further, swift action will be taken against the corrupt who harass the common people. Vigilance has been further empowered to curb corruption.

Vigilance is continuously taking action against the corrupt on the resolution of CM’s corruption-free Uttarakhand. In the last 48 hours, Vigilance has arrested two officers from Chamoli and Pauri while taking bribe. CM has launched Corruption Free App 1064 in the state to hear complaints related to corruption.

Posters have been put up in all government offices for awareness of the app. So far more than 980 vigilance and non-vigilance complaints have been registered through the app. Acting seriously on these complaints, Vigilance has sent the bribe-takers to jail. In the last nine months, Vigilance has sent about 30 bribe-takers to jail.

With two arrests in 48 hours, this figure has reached close to 32. In 23 years of Uttarakhand, a total of 303 have been arrested in 281 corruption-related traps. In the last 3 years, Vigilance has sent about 70 corrupt people to jail.
