A single bench of Justice Alok Verma of the Nainital High Court had disposed of the petition on January 10. In the petition, a demand was made to conduct the counting of votes for the Mussoorie Municipal Council President post under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. In this regard, the State Election Commission and the State Government informed that the counting of votes for civic elections is already done under CCTV cameras. Election Commission advocate Sanjay Bhatt also presented the order issued earlier to this effect in the court. After which the petition was disposed of.
