Crackdown on adulterators in Uttarakhand, SOP issued, heavy fine will be imposed, six years imprisonment

Dehradun: Before Holi, preparations are underway to crack down on adulterators in Uttarakhand. The Food Safety Department has issued an SOP. According to the SOP, a fine of Rs 5 lakh will be imposed on adulterators. At the same time, there will be a jail term of six years.

Food Commissioner Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said that there is strict vigil on the border. Also, on-spot test samples are being taken. Strict monitoring has been started through vigilance cell and surveillance.

Additional Commissioner and Drug Controller Tajbar Jaggi said that a continuous campaign is being run to stop adulteration. SOP has been issued.
