Dehradun: The District Magistrates have sent the complete details of the lands purchased by outsiders to the Uttarakhand government. Under which the information of land purchased in the state by people from outside the state has been made available to the government. The special thing is that the District Magistrates have also issued notices to those violating the land law. A day earlier, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi had directed the officials of two districts to provide this report to the government within 24 hours, while the District Magistrates of the remaining 11 districts have already provided this report to the government. After these instructions, now the government has also received reports from the remaining two districts.
After receiving complaints of outsiders purchasing more than two and a half hundred square meters of land under the land law in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took it seriously and ordered an inquiry into it. In the matter, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi had asked the DMs of all the districts to send the report to the government. On the other hand, after receiving the report to the government, preparations are being made to take action against the people who violated the land law.
However, the District Magistrates have already issued notices to about 140 people for buying land against the rules. These include those people who took permission from the government to buy land for some other purpose, but some other work was done on the said land. At present, the government is now assessing the records of all these lands and preparations are also being made to take strict action against those who violate the rules in this matter.
However, the number of such people has come to the fore around 140, but it is believed that after assessing the records of all the districts, this number can be many times more than this. Under the land law in Uttarakhand, a person from a family can buy only 250 square meters of land. This rule is to be applicable for residents living in other states. However, in the report that has come out now, the records related to the land have been searched primarily and it is yet to be investigated thoroughly.
