CS Anand Bardhan held a meeting with officials regarding digital crop survey and farmer registration

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan held a meeting with officials regarding digital crop survey and farmer registration in the Secretariat on Wednesday. Rajiv Chawla, Chief Knowledge Advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India was also present on this occasion.

The Chief Secretary directed the officials to expedite the digital crop survey. He said that a time limit should be set for the survey. The Chief Secretary directed that district-wise and tehsil-wise targets should be set to complete the survey within the stipulated time limit. He said that additional manpower can be deployed to expedite the survey work. He asked the officials to remain in constant touch with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India for technical assistance for farmer registration.

The Chief Secretary requested Rajiv Chawla, Chief Knowledge Advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, to start API integration under the digital crop survey soon. He said that this will not hinder the distribution of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi of the farmers of the state. Secretary SN Pandey, Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Director General Ranveer Singh Chauhan were also present on this occasion.
