It is reported that the last date for applying for the post of Chief Information Commissioner was fixed as August 30 and before that Radha Raturi had also applied for this post.

On 30 September, UPSC is going to conduct DPC for this in Delhi. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi will also be present in this meeting. After this DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee), Uttarakhand will be able to get a permanent DGP.
At present, senior IPS officer Abhinav Kumar is looking after the responsibility as the Director General of Police in charge in the state. The names of PV K Prasad, Deepam Seth and Abhinav Kumar are mainly in discussion for the post of Director General of Police. It is believed that only Deepam Seth or Abhinav Kumar can get a chance as permanent DGP.
