Dehradun: On November 9th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the main function at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) to mark its silver jubilee. Therefore, the Doon Police and administration have made elaborate arrangements in view of the Prime Minister’s presence. A traffic plan has been prepared, under which a 500-meter radius around FRI has been declared a zero zone. Normal vehicles will not be allowed to enter this area. Therefore, please consult the route plan before setting out on the road.
According to the Doon Police’s traffic plan, the traffic plan will be effective from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM on November 9th. During this time, all heavy vehicles will not be able to enter the city’s internal and external routes. The route diversion plan will be in effect until 4:00 PM. This plan will most impact those traveling via FRI via Chakrata Road. These individuals will have to change their route. Separate diversions have been created for them on the incoming and outgoing routes. This will allow them to bypass the FRI route and take a diversion to reach their destination.
People from across the state will be attending the Uttarakhand Silver Jubilee Celebrations. Therefore, a parking plan has been established for vehicles arriving from different routes. They will park their vehicles at designated locations based on their route and then proceed to the ceremony. Golf carts have been arranged to transport visitors from the parking area to the venue, preventing them from walking.
SP Traffic Lokjeet Singh has appealed to visitors to use alternative routes instead of the main roads to avoid inconvenience. Additionally, officers have been designated for traffic and other assistance. Their mobile numbers have also been released along with the plan.
