Dehradun: Bumper transfers have been made in Uttarakhand for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). However, many police officers were recently promoted from Inspector to Deputy Superintendent of Police rank. In such a situation, along with giving the first posting to the promoted officers, some old DSPs have also been given new responsibilities.
The Police Headquarters has made some changes in the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police in the department. Inspector General of Police Personnel Anant Shankar Takwale has issued this order related to the change in responsibility. According to the order, Deputy Superintendents of Police have been transferred relative to the vacant post. In this, 18 Deputy Superintendents of Police have been given new posting.
However, there was a discussion about the transfers for a long time and homework was also being done for this from the level of Police Headquarters. But during this time, after the promotion of many police officers to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police, it was decided to do the homework of everyone and in such a situation, after the completion of homework, the responsibility of the officers has been changed.
Recently, 28 police officers were promoted to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police in the state. Since then, the first posting of these officers was also being awaited. In such a situation, the Police Headquarters has now given the first posting to all these 28 promoted police officers as Deputy Superintendent of Police. All of them have been posted on vacant posts in various districts in the state. Along with the posting of these officers, guidelines have also been issued regarding the upcoming civic elections. In this context, Additional Director General of Police V Murugeshan has asked the officers associated with the constituency across the state to take necessary steps to conduct transparent elections. So far, 7935 liters of illegal liquor worth 37 lakhs and 217 kg of illegal drugs worth 8.8 crores have been seized in the state. In this, challan of 7321 people has also been issued in 970 cases.
