Dehradun: The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami concluded. A total of 12 proposals were approved in the Dhami cabinet meeting. The main decision was to form a sub-committee to provide minimum pay scale and DA to Sub-Plan workers. The Chief Minister has been authorized to form the committee. After the committee is formed in the next few days, the committee will be given two months’ time.
Key Proposals from the Dhami Cabinet Meeting: The government has taken this decision keeping in mind the Sub-Plan workers who have been agitating for their demands for some time. A sub-committee will be formed to address their minimum pay scale and DA. The Chief Minister will chair this committee, which will take a decision within two months. Furthermore, changes have been made to the Objectives of Sub-Plan, including Overseas Employment, and the Articles of Association.
Other decisions:
- Currently, a bank guarantee or FDR is required as bid security during tenders. Following the instructions of the Government of India, the option of obtaining an insurance security form has been included.
- Amendments to the structure of the Uttarakhand Budget Fiscal Planning and Resources Directorate were approved, including the hiring of an additional driver through outsourcing.
- Approval was given for the establishment of an Information Technology Wing within the Uttarakhand Prison Administration and Correctional Services Department. Approval was given for the appointment of two computer programmers and two computer assistants for the Information Technology Wing.
- Approval was given for the promulgation of the Regulation Amendment Rules 2025 for Personnel Appointed on Daily Wages/Work Charges/Contract/Fixed Pay/Part-Time/Ad-hoc.
Assistance to Disaster-Affected Families: Meanwhile, a decision was taken under the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department regarding assistance to those affected by the disaster that struck Uttarkashi and other areas of the state on August 5, 2025. The SDRF fund of Rs. 4 lakh for the deceased has been increased to Rs. 5 lakh. In case of collapse of a concrete house, the provision of Rs. 3 lakh in hilly areas and Rs. 2.8 lakh in plain areas will be increased to Rs. 5 lakh, and along with the fixed amount for the raw material, Rs. 1 lakh will be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Other decisions:
- The state government will pay 40% of the central share of grant assistance received under the centrally sponsored Horticulture Mission Scheme.
- The Devbhoomi Parivar Yojana will be launched to create identity certificates for families residing in Uttarakhand, under which a family ID will be created, which will contain complete information about the benefits received by the families from the state government.
- Approval has been given for the adjournment of the special session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.
Also, approval has been given for the formation of a Public Health Unit (PMU) for all public health-related policies in local bodies. The objective of forming the PMU is to supervise the work of the Municipal Health Officer, monitor the funds received for health from the Central and State Finance Commission, provide and train human resources related to civic health services and supervise the health related schemes run under the urban bodies.
