Dehradun: The number of devotees visiting the famous Kainchi Dham is increasing rapidly year after year. From April 2024 to March 2025, about 24 lakh devotees visited Kainchi Dham. Due to the large number of devotees arriving at Kainchi Dham, not only is there a situation of jam, but the passengers are also facing many problems. In view of which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday. During the meeting, he talked about preparing plans keeping in mind the extensiveness of Kainchi Dham fair and the facilities of the devotees.
CM Pushkar Singh has given instructions to prepare immediate, mid-term and long-term plans to improve the arrangements and facilities at Kainchi Dham. The CM gave instructions to improve the current operation of the fair through immediate measures, and to develop a permanent and robust management system through mid-term and long-term plans. Along with this, instructions were also given to complete the cutting work on the road of about 3 km from the Sanatorium to Bhawali Petrol Pump, so that the traffic system can be further improved.
The number of devotees in the famous religious place Kainchi Dham fair is increasing rapidly every year. In a year, about 24 lakh devotees visited Kainchi Dham, while in previous years the number of devotees was around 8 lakh. In such a situation, the number of devotees is likely to increase further this year. The DM said that the holding capacity of Kainchi Dham is low, while during the fair many times more devotees come than the capacity.

Nainital DM Vandana Singh further said that this year 2.5 lakh to 3 lakh devotees are expected to come, due to which a plan has been prepared for traffic management and crowd control. Also, she said that in future, a registration system has been implemented for the devotees coming to Kainchi Dham and a maximum limit has also been suggested to be set, so that the journey of the pilgrims can be made safe, well-organized and smooth.
