In Uttarakhand also, a case of mixing dirt in food items by some people has come to the fore, after which the police took action against two people and arrested them. At the same time, CM Dhami has also talked about taking strict action on such a matter. After the statement of CM Dhami, the Uttarakhand government directed the police to take strict action on such a case.
Let us tell you that a video of spitting in a tea pot had surfaced in Uttarakhand. Dehradun Police took cognizance of this video and took action and arrested two people. After these cases came to light, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had given a big statement on Dussehra. He had said that his government will also eradicate the stigma of spit jihad from Devbhoomi. Along with this, CM Dhami had also given instructions to take strict action in such cases.
After the instructions of CM Dhami, the Uttarakhand government issued orders to the police. On which DGP Abhinav Kumar issued instructions to the police in-charges of all the districts. In the instructions, it has been asked to do 100% verification of the employees working in hotels, dhabas and other businesses. Along with this, instructions have also been given to install CCTV cameras compulsorily in these institutions.
Apart from this, the help of local intelligence unit should also be taken to pay special attention to the food traders running in open places. Along with this, random checking will be done in coordination with the Health and Food Department. To curb these illegal activities, a case will be registered under Section 274 of the Uttarakhand Police Act, Indian Justice Code and Section 81 of the Uttarakhand Police Act.
The CM ordered that if such incidents have an adverse effect on religious, ethnic or linguistic sentiments, then strict action will also be taken under Section 196 (1) (B) or 299. At the same time, CM Dhami said that there is no place for any such misdeed in Uttarakhand. If anyone is found doing such acts, strict action will be taken against him.
Such incidents not only contaminate food items, but also hurt sentiments. We will take strict action on such incidents. At the same time, Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar said that a public awareness campaign will be run with the cooperation of Health, Food Department, Municipal Corporation, District Panchayat and local institutions. So that such incidents can be completely stopped.
