Dhami government aims to stop demographic change with digital technology! CM directs Home Department to develop app…

Dehradun: The Dhami government in Uttarakhand is taking a major step to address the demographic change issue. CM Dhami has directed the Home Department to develop an app for the verification process. According to sources, the app is currently under trial and will be fully operational by the end of this month.

Taking a serious stance on the demographic change in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the Home Department to work on making the police verification process more effective. CM Dhami has said that the verification process for those coming to work here should be tightened and made easier for the local police.

According to reports, the Home Department has directed the police administration to develop an app that will simplify the verification process for the police. The police and the government’s IT department are working together to create a database of visitors. Currently, the police do not maintain any verification records; the verification process at various police stations is limited to a single register.

Police Headquarters has now begun requesting the information recorded in the register. Riddhim Agarwal, Inspector General of Police for the Kumaon Division, who is focusing on the app, says that the police administration is leveraging technology to mitigate verification challenges. If successful, this app will ease the difficulties of both the police administration and those traveling from outside.
