Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan holds meeting: Preparations for the grand celebration of the Silver Jubilee in Uttarakhand have begun. Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan informed in a meeting held at the Secretariat that Silver Jubilee celebrations will be held across the state from November 1st to 9th.
The purpose of these events is not only to showcase the achievements to date but also to set a roadmap for the next 25 years of development. While the government’s focus will be to convey the work accomplished over the past 25 years to the public, the most important aspect during this period will be to put the government’s vision for the next 25 years on paper.
Emphasis on preparing a plan for the next 25 years: Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan has directed officials to prepare a plan for the next 25 years so that people can understand the government’s vision for the next 25 years during the Silver Jubilee celebrations. The government will primarily highlight education, health, and road connectivity among its achievements.
Work done over the past 25 years will be showcased to the public: The state government will primarily showcase the improvements made in infrastructure over the past 25 years. It will also highlight sectors related to industry, tourism, and employment, so that the progress made in these sectors is prominently visible.
Active participation of all sectors contributing to the state’s development, including workers, farmers, women, ex-servicemen, and youth, will be ensured in the celebrations. He also urged all departments to coordinate and outline district-level and state-level programs. So that this event can become a celebration for everyone.
The meeting also emphasized that the Silver Jubilee should not only be a celebratory occasion but also a milestone that sets the direction for the state’s development. Under this initiative, the government will not only evaluate achievements but also identify challenges that could impact the pace of development in the coming years.

Priority will be given to areas such as sustainable development, water conservation, mountain economy, employment generation, technological innovation, and women’s empowerment.
