Dhami government cancels UKSSSC exam, takes action after paper leak, students express gratitude

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand undergraduate examination was held on September 21st. Following the paper leak, students launched a protest. Following their demand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered an investigation into the entire matter. Today, the state government took a significant decision and canceled the examination.

Responding to the news of the cancellation, the protesting students thanked the government. Chief Minister Dhami issued a statement saying, “For our government, our students and youth come first; we are serious about their future.”

What was the whole matter?

On September 21st, the UKSSSC conducted the undergraduate examination, three pages of which were leaked via WhatsApp just half an hour after the exam began. A person named Khalid Malik sent his papers to Assistant Professor Suman, and Khalid’s sister, Sabia, was also involved. Khalid and his sister, Sabia, are currently in judicial custody.

Following this, a movement had begun across the state. For a long time, members of the unemployed organization had been staging a sit-in protest outside the Parade Ground in Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami then visited the protest site after approximately eight days to meet with the students and urged them to initiate a CBI investigation. Following this, the state government wrote to the central government requesting a CBI inquiry. The students’ second demand was that the exam be canceled and its roster reissued. Today, an order was issued in this matter, canceling the exam.

Now that the investigation has been handed over to the CBI, the students protesting have expressed joy. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has once again stated that the youth of the state come first for him. Even if it means sacrificing his life for them.
