Dehradun: During a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed officials to expedite construction and renovation projects in the state. He said that now that the monsoon season is over, all departments should expedite work on the ground.
During a review of the Public Works Department, the Chief Minister directed that all roads be made pothole-free within the stipulated timeframe. He stated that negligence in road construction and repair work will not be tolerated. The Chief Minister said that reconstruction and repair of damaged roads should be completed on a priority basis. Special monitoring should be maintained in areas where frequent road-related complaints are received, and special attention should be paid to the quality of work. He directed that the Pothole-Free Road Campaign be reviewed weekly and that patchwork be completed by October 31st.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Dr. Pankaj Pandey, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari were present.
